The patented design of the pump delivers a smooth and consistent flow at all ranges of operation, while drawing low current. Voltage over 14V can burn the motor, so a DC 12V power supply is required, and no AC power should be used. The inlet and outlet ports are 3/8-inch hose barbs, and the vertical suction lift is 6.6ft (2m). The default cut-off pressure is 80-85PSI, but it doesn't mean the pump can deliver a 4.5L/min jet at 100PSI. The pump comes with 2 tube clamps.

The pump body is sealed to prevent incidental moisture and dust from entering, and it can operate in a wet environment. The self-priming function allows the pump to be mounted above the water tank. The sealed switches and electro-coating inhibit corrosion, while the soft rubber mounting tabs reduce vibrations.
